My name is Erica Violet Gail Wahiaroskwas Giasson-Nolan. I'm Mohawk, part of the First Nations and born in Kahnawake, Quebec. I'm a student going into St.Clair College in Windsor to be a Native community worker. To me, being Aboriginal is the best part about me and I like to express my heritage through art. They say an artist paints a thousand words and I believe it. I recently came in fifth in the Aboriginal Arts & Stories contest and it inspired me to keep my motivation and to stick to my cultural background and painting.
