I am originally from the Medellin, Colombia. Medellin is known as the city of the forever spring. I studied Business there and after a year of graduation I had the opportunity of move to Canada.

I am currently working with new immigrants helping to settle in Fredericton, I have worked with multiple multicultural associations, economic development agencies and private organizations.

I moved to Canada a winter day, I left Medellin with a climate of plus 25 and arrived to Toronto to -29 the same day, my reaction was to laugh, the cold felt like electricity all over, it was itchy and funny, I had never felt that kind of sensation. I fell in love with the snow that day and winter is still one of my favorites seasons. I honestly think the only way to enjoy Canada is to learning a winter sport.

I became Canadian in 2010 and I proud to belong to Canada but I still have Colombia in my heart. Canada is community, its main characteristic its it wiliness to help others not matter their background, it is welcoming and diverse. Everybody in Canada has roots and history from other places of the world and this is one of the reasons I believe Canada is one of the best places to live in the world.
