Bio

I came to Canada in 2008 a sponsored refugee student and landed in Regina, Saskatchewan. I was sponsored through the World University of Services Canada Student Refugee Program at the University of Regina and I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Studies degree. During my time at the university, I was involved in various social justice groups and initiatives that focused on tackling environmental issues, immigration issues, poverty and inequality in Canada. I have facilitated various workshops that promote youth activism and community collaboration. I have spent the last 3 years working in the domestic violence and sexual violence field both as a counsellor and as a project coordinator for awareness campaigns. I currently work as an Income Assistance Worker for the Ministry of Social Services, Government of Saskatchewan.
